On June 2nd, Arts Engine's Media Rights brings it's audience 12 new social issue short films for their 10th Annual Media That Matters Film Festival. Located at the School of Visual Arts at their W. 23rd Street location (the SVA theater) in Manhattan, doors open at 6p and screenings are from 7-9p. The Media That Matters Film Festival is the premiere showcase for short films on the most important topics of the day. Local and global, online and in communities around the world, Media That Matters engages diverse audiences and inspires them to take action.
On June 3rd, Media That Matters will host MTM: Impact, Make, Activate, Educate. A Series of Conversations. After the NYC premiere of the 10th Annual Media That Matters collection, Arts Engine will host a free, day-long series of conversations for filmmakers, activists and educators who are working to harness the power of media to enact change. Arts Engine staff, Pat Aufderheide, Abigail Disney (both incredibly impressive activists), MTM filmmakers past and present and others will be part of the conversation on impact strategy planning.
