Craig McKay gives Short Cuts / by KirstenStudio

Other than a few handy key strokes you can memorize, there really aren't a lot of short cuts to editing, but I doubt that's what Craig McKay plans to share the evening of January 20th.  Mr. McKay will appear for this MEWSHOP, ACE produced event presented by The Moving Pictures Collective NYC to talk about his extensive body of film work. Craig McKay will be interviewed by Bobbi O'Steen for EditFest Short Cuts, an outgrowth of the annual EditFest weekends that take place in both Manhattan and Los Angeles. This first EditFest Short Cuts will kick-off at the Helen Mills Theater at 7p on January 20th, 2011.

The evening will devote its discussion to editing through the work of Craig McKay, moderated by Ms. O'Steen. Mr. McKay has a long list of credits, from Something Wild (1986), to Copland (1997), to Babies (2010) and of course, The Silence of the Lambs (1991).  He was also a story consultant on the Academy Award nominated documentary feature, Mandela (1996).
