Artfully Unforgotten celebrates Afghanistan / by KirstenStudio

Artfully Unforgotten put on an amazing event on Friday night.  Below is a slideshow of the evening.  It was a great success by having a terrific turnout and raising much need funds for women and children of Afghanistan.  Proceeds from the event will go to Mashale Noor School and Bpeace. Heather Metcalfe, Founder and Director of Artfully Unforgotten worked tirelessly to ensure Friday night came to fruition. Parsons The New School students created stunningly beautiful and social aware artwork that were in turn sold through a silent auction.  Nearly every piece went home with a happy art owner. Both the trailer and film were shown on three different screens throughout the night.  Raffle winners were announced and good food and drink were had.  Artfully Unforgotten's Event Coordinator, Danielle Savin, did an outstanding job and she was also responsible for the Artfully Unforgotten store which sold tee shirts, SIGG water bottles, calendars (also available through cafepress). Soccer balls made by an Afghan woman who owns her own soccer ball manufacturing business and is an apprentice with Bpeace were also sold. Video on the event to come shortly!
